School Holiday Activity: Upwind! Perform at MPavilion
If you’re looking for a school holiday activity (and one that doesn’t involve spending money!) head to MPavilion on Monday 14th or Thursday 17th January to hear our Upwind! musicians showcase their instruments in an interactive performance. Located in the Queen Victoria Gardens opposite the Art Centre on St Kilda Rd, MPavilion 2018 is part of a series of architectural commissions where each year the space is re-designed as a place for cultural events to be available for all. Each event is free and runs between October and February to make the most of our fine Melbourne summers.
Eine Kleine Wind is very excited to be included in this seasons MKIDS program where kid-friendly events at MPavilion are tagged as part of a series. This is a great chance to find out about our instruments, the oboe, horn and bassoon and to meet them up close. There will be a chance to ask questions about the instruments or life as a musician. Adults are of course welcome too – with great coffee available at the MPavilion Kiosk (thanks to Three Thousand Thieves) you may simply wander by to enjoy some music on your coffee break or as part of a stroll through the park.
Shows run at 10am, 11am and 12pm on Monday 14th January and again at 9:30am and 10:30am on Thursday 17th January. Find out more information at http://mpavilion.org/program/meet-the-instruments/
